Tricofix tubular bandages, (also known as tubular stockinettes), are seamless, elastic cotton tubes that are designed to provide a soft, comfortable underlayer for compression therapy. The tubular bandages are often used in lymphedema management – as a skin-friendly base below multi-layer bandaging or compression garments.
Key features of Tricofix tubular bandages include:
Tricofix tubular bandages help protect the skin from irritation, facilitate smooth layering of compression bandages, and evenly distribute pressure from compression bandages or garments. In addition, the elasticated bandages also help wick away moisture, reduce friction, and improve comfort.
In addition to lymphedema, Tricofix tubular bandages are also often used to treat:
On their own, Tricofix tubular bandages do not provide compression. Instead, the bandages are used as a base layer below compression bandages, wraps, and garments.
Breathable and gentle on the skin, Tricofix tubular bandages are made from 100% cotton.
Designed to act as a barrier between the skin and compression layers, Tricofix tubular bandages can help reduce friction and skin irritation.
Made from 100% cotton, Tricofix tubular bandages are latex-free.
Tricofix tubular bandages can be used on arms, legs, and other body parts.
Tricofix tubular bandages are reusable. You can machine wash the bandages (on a gentle cycle, using cold or lukewarm water) and air dry them (laying them flat).
Tricofix tubular bandages are available in different sizes (6 cm x 20 m, 8 cm x 20 m, 10 cm x 20 m, and 12 cm x 20 m).
Thanks to their seamless design, 100% cotton, and stretchability and breathability, Tricofix tubular bandages are comfortable to wear under compression bandages and garments, casts, and with wound dressings.
Tricofix tubular bandages are made by BSN Medical, which was acquired by Essity, a global hygiene and health company.
