Dauerbinde® K by Lohmann & Rauscher is an excellent choice for compression bandaging in phlebology applications. The long-stretch properties of the bandage gives it variable compressive power that helps provide support and stress relief to injured tendons, ligaments or muscles. Dauerbinde® K can also be used for wound dressing retention or to provide limb immobilization. Having extensibility of approximately 180% of it’s length, Dauerbinde® K will stretch as edema increases and therefore, provides poor edema containment and is not generally useful in treating Lymphedema.
