Wound Bed Preparation
One side effect of a wound may be the unpleasant odor that is associated with it. Wounds that are most commonly associated with having odor include exodating wounds, pressure ulcers, venous leg ulcers diabetic/neuropathic ulcers and wounds with necrotic tissue, among others. Whatever the underlying cause, the resulting odor can cause a great deal of distress and embarrassment for patients. (read more)
