Wound Contact Layer Dressings
Sterile Contact Layer Wound Dressing, Debridement Pads, And More
Wound contact layer dressings can be applied directly to the wound as a primary dressing and then if necessary, covered with a secondary dressing for additional absorption. Because they are designed to be non-adherent and skin-friendly, a wound contact layer is ideally suited for wounds where the skin tissue surrounding the wound bed is fragile. Wound contact layers can typically be left in place for several days. As they permit passage of wound exudate through the dressing, they are indicated for moderate to heavily exuding wounds.
